Karen Josi of Wallowa was recently selected as one of 55 women from across America to receive a college scholarship from the Talbots Women’s Scholarship Fund in the amount of $1,000. Josi is a business administration student at Eastern Oregon University in La Grande.

Sponsored by Talbots Charitable Foundation, this scholarship fund was created in 1997 specifically for women going to college later in life. Annually, five $10,000 scholarships and 50 $1,000 scholarships are given.
