Kiss a pig contest on

The public is being asked to vote with their loose change as to who among several local personalities will be kissing a real pig at the Feb. 13 Enterprise/Joseph varsity basketball game.

People are being asked to cast their ballot for either John Williams, local OSU Extension agent, Lee Perkins, local radio personality or Ben Boswell, Wallowa County commissioner, by putting money in ‘voting’ jars placed around the county in local businesses and the candidates’ places of work. The lucky winner will be kissing a pig during the intermission between the girls’ varsity and boys’ varsity games in Joseph on Feb. 13 at approximately 7 p.m.

The Wallowa County 4-H leaders and members are using the contest to raise funds for ten of them to attend the Western Regional 4-H leaders’ forum in Anchorage, Alaska in March.
