Because of a difference in anticipated transportation costs for the cooperative Joseph/Enterprise baseball program next spring, the Enterprise school board voted Jan. 5 to do something it had not intended to do: pay for part of the program.
Jeff Edison and his group who have promoted the cooperative program on the promise that it would cost the school district no money, according to testimony during the school board meeting, need extra time to raise an additional $1,176 in transportation costs than was previously anticipated. The Joseph school board is asking for $2,176 in transportation costs and a one time $1,000 fee for uniforms by Feb. 23. The Edison group is expected to pay the school back in the spring.
