Diana Gayle Wheeler, 59, of Joseph, died Dec. 19, 2003, at Wallowa Memorial Hospital. She was born Mar. 16, 1944, in Richmond, Calif., to Chester Lee and Ruth B. (Harris) Cavin.

After marrying Richard Wheeler in 1989, Mrs. Wheeler was a homemaker. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Richard, at home; a son, Brian Hill of Baker City; her mother, Ruth Cavin; a grandson, Brady Hill of La Grande; five stepchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; and two nieces. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Jack Cavin.

Memorial services will take place on Saturday, Dec. 27, at 11 a.m. at the Bollman Funeral Home with Larry Dodd officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the giver’s choice.
