Enterprise first-graders write ‘Dear Santa Claus’
Published 4:00 pm Wednesday, December 17, 2003
In their letters to ol’ St. Nick, Mrs. Keffer’s first-grade class at Enteprise Elementary, first buttered him up by listing the things they do to help out around their houses, before getting down to business with their Christmas gift wishes.
Dear Santa,
I have been helping my mom do chores like bringing the compost out and carrying out the trash. This is medium hard work and I do it good. What I really want for Christmas is the Ruby version of the Game Boy Events, and I know you know what the Ruby version is. My sister is asking for the Cheat Shark and then we could get any Pokemon we want.
Also, I want a connector to Game Boys so we can play against each other.
I want the magic reindeer stuff that makes them fly, if it’s not too much.
To get to my house, go to Oregon at Enterprise. You go up to Black Marble Lane, and go up to a house with a red roof.
Look for your chocolate cookie and a glass of milk.
Nikolai Christoffersen
Dear Santa,
I do dishes for my mom. I clean the dishes first and then put them in the dishwasher.
I want a horse toy that has gold on it. I also want a pack of toy animals to play with. And, I really need a pair of new pants for school. Please make them blue.
I live in Enterprise, Oregon. First turn at the Enterprise Park, and then turn this way to
the train track and next keep going straight. You’re there.
Love, Gwen Nohr
Dear Santa,
I clean house and put away dishes for my mother. Sometimes I even wash anything that’s dirty. I like to do things for my mom because I really care for her.
It’s really hard telling you what I want for Christmas. I really don’t know what I want, but maybe just two books. Could you make them horse books.
When you come to my house you need to go to 8 Valley Heights. You see this big white sign and then go straight ahead, then turn left, and then finally turn right. Now, turn left again. My house looks gray, and it has a really long chimney and it’s red and white.
From, Emma Hall
Dear Santa,
I have been good this year. I always clean the bathroom and mop the floors. Sometimes I clean the windows. Mom says I do a good job.
For Christmas I want a new computer game. Also, I want some books about horses and cats because they’re my favorite animals. I have a cat named Mittens.
I live in Oregon. My address is 84339 Walker Lane; Joseph 97846 Follow the highway from Enterprise to Joseph. Turn on Walker Lane, and my house is the fifth house on the left. It’s whitish gray color. You’ll see a huge big field, and a trampoline in the back. That’s all I can think of, so I hope you can find me.
Love you, Santa Jessica Stein
Dear Santa,
I’m a good boy, Santa. I really keep my room clean for my mom. I pick my toys, make my bed and vacuum.
I want a Game Boy for Christmas. This is a game that needs batteries, and you play it with buttons. I would also like a remote control airplane. I think I need sweats for night time.
I live across the street from the hospital in Enterprise. My house has a white outside, and the roof is gray. There’s a couple of bikes in front and four bushes. Two of them are trees, and the rest are prickly bushes. I think you can find it.
I’m a first grader… Alex Parisien
Dear Santa,
This year I’ve been really good. I wash the dishes for my mom everyday. I mostly do this at night time because I’m not in school at that time.
I want Game Boy Advanced. It’s oval and a neat color. You hold this game in your hands and watch a square screen. Then you push buttons that make it go in different directions.
I also want a horse play kit, and a dog pillow.
Go to Enterprise, Oregon and stop right in the center. Then turn left and go straight ahead. Then you will see a house that’s kind of crazy. It has half of a blue roof on the back and on the front the roof is brown. My house is white. In the back where I play on my swing set, there is a trampoline. In the front there is a window for a dog, but the dog might not be there.

Dear Santa,
I’ve been really good. I’ve done everything my mom has asked me to do. I get wood for the fire and sometimes I dump the garbage. I also do work around the house. I help my dad build stuff like a wood shed and a garage.
I would like a bow and arrow with some arrows. And if you have some real gold, I’ll take just a little sack.
Go to Alder Slope Road. You will see a woodshed, an old house, and a brown bam that
has sheep in the front. That’s it. Hope you find me, Santa.
Cody Irish
Dear Santa,
I’ve been really, really good all year. I help my mom clean the house all by myself. I vacuum, dust, and pick up stuff. I also do my chores which are cleaning my bedroom, making my bed, and taking my dirty clothes to the clothes basket. I take my dirty dishes to the sink.
That’s a lot.
Do you have any Barbie Boats? I want Go Go, my Walking Pup. Also, I need a kitchen bake and I will make real food.
To get to my house, first you have to find Williamson Road. It’s in between Enterprise and Joseph. Then when you get to the comer, you turn right. Look for the first driveway on the right. Or, maybe it’s on the left. My house is purplish-brown. We have a red bam.
I love you, Santa. Reanna Royse
Dear Santa,
I have been good, most of the time. I do jobs at my house. I take out the garbage. I clean my hamster’s cage. Sometimes, I make my bed.
I would like a CD case. I would also like some CDs of my very own. If you happen to have a stuffed puppy, I would like that. I like pink.
My address is 307. Go to the Enterprise school and then go right. Then you turn the other way. It’s white with a tall roof. The roof is gray. Look for the blue fence. When you go inside, there are two doors. Near it is a big tree.
I love you, Santa . Sarah Madsen
Dear Santa,
I’ve been pretty good, Santa. I get firewood for my mom. I clean up my room and make my bed. One more thing, Santa. I made some stuff for my mom that she really likes. It’s a great picture.
I really want a toy gun that has real sounds to it…. with little pop bullets. I think it’s called a cap gun. And that’s what I want. And, I want a really, really, really, good picture for my mom. Also, I want a real iguana. I love them very much and they are my favorite.
You can find my house by the Elk Lodge. There’s a red car parked there. There’s a fence near it, and I live in a duplex. My sidewalk is concrete and straight. My house also has a broken window.
See you later, Santa. I love you. Really!
Michael Pendarvis
Dear Santa,
I have always been good, all year. I helped Reanna when she sprained her ankle. I also helped Emma when she got a bloody nose. I helped my mom when she got stung by a bee. I sometimes cook at home. I like to bake cakes and muffins.
I’ve been thinking about getting another real horse. We have two, and we’re thinking of getting four so we can all ride together. I always wanted a real Chihuahua. I am now old enough to take care of it. I just hope it will be my dog. That’s pretty much it!
Santa, you have to go to Lostine, Oregon down the Lostine Road. Take the Jimtown Road. Then go down until you see a long white house. You’ll see two white cars. One is a jeep and the other is a truck. You’re there.
I’ll be waiting… Love, Alicia Boucher
Dear Santa,
I have been really good. I help my mom clean the kitchen. I also sweep the leaves out of the garage. I also help with Emily’s cat when it runs out in the road when I go to school. I also help some of my friends when junk falls out of their desks.
I really want a kitten for Christmas. I hope it’s a girl. A puppy would work, too. Do you have a Black Lab. I hope he won’t attack my cat. I also want a Princess Scooter.
Go to Enterprise and find Logan Street. You will see a fence with two dogs. My address is 404. I live on a hill.
Paige Homer
Dear Santa,
I have been real good this year. I always share my toys with my brothers and sisters. I sometimes ride with my dad to work. I help him make stuff like boxes. I also help my mom do her chores.
I want a dirt bike for Christmas. I also need dirt bike armor so you won’t hurt yourself so bad. Do you have a paint ball gun? If I can’t have any of this, could I have a scooter?
When you come into Enterprise from Joseph, there’s a bridge. Turn on this bridge and then there is a road. Go straight on the road and take a turn and go just a little up the hill..not all
the way. Don’t go all the way up. My house has a wraparound deck. There’s a tree house and a swing set.
Good by, Santa. Harrison Reimer
Be careful because I might keep your sleigh. I’m just kidding.
Dear Santa,
I like you Santa, and I have been good this year. I have helped other people. I get things for people in my classroom. I sometimes help my friends in math. I also pick up around my desk when Mrs. Keffer asks me to.
I would like a Play Toy Gun T-Rex. You launch a little toy bullet in the mouth that comes with it. Then you pull the trigger and the bullet comes out. This is the only thing I want.
I live in Enterprise kind of near the park. Go straight ahead. ..It’s the blue house right in the middle. There’s a big giant tree right near my house. There is a car slot in front of my house. Hope you find me.
