Threatening skies early Saturday morning didn’t deter some 57 golfers from participating in the event at the Alpine Meadows Golf Course in Enterprise.
The foursome of Sam Wade, Terry Lamb, Ashley Prince and Jim Eldred took the first place spot for the best ball tournament on the afternoon finishing with a 58.
Tied for second place with a 60 was Mike Crawford, Tammy Crawford, Bo Crawford and Kyle Crawford and the foursome of Randy Sperr, Jason Sperr, Paul Davis and Don Westfall.
There was a three way tie for third place with a score of 63. Harlin Menton, Jerry Cornett, Bill Thompson and Johna Marcum headed to the club house tied with Jeff Stoffel, Kim Stoffel, Kayla Stoffel and Mark Green. The foursome of L.G. Miller, Elenor Miller, Kyler Miller and Chuck Haines also ended the day tied for the number three spot.
Grand door prize winners for the afternoon were Sam Wade and Kayla Miller. Wade won a David Manuel bronze titled “Hole in one” and Miller walked away with a handmade afghan created by Marge McGraw. A number of other local merchants donated door prizes as well.
It was a good day and the tournament is on again for next year said Alpine Meadows manager Ken Storm.
